PRINCIPE DEL TRASIMENO
This farm is composed of two stone-built country houses linked by another pale yellow-coloured building, forming a small courtyard. Completely restored in 2005, the country house is set in the green countryside around Lake Trasimeno (Castiglion del Lago 3 kms) and is a perfect spot to bask in peace and tranquillity close to nature. The 13 apartments are all extremely comfortably furnished with antique furniture and their richly-coloured wooden beams and terracotta floors blend in beautifully with the paler walls and soft furnishings.
In front of the house there is a large garden with pine-wood, swimming pool (8 x 17 m. - open May/Oct.) and a delightful stone-built gazebo with wood-fired oven, perfect for outdoor breakfasts and tasty grills and barbecues in the company of other guests. The farm also has a large common room with an enormous fireplace complete with every comfort where guests can get together or simply read. The farms' bicycles are available for trips to the lake or longer trips around the lake on the cycle path 700m from the farm. The beautiful towns of Tuoro, San Feliciano and Passignano are all within easy reach, characteristic small towns where boat trips to the islands on the lake are organised.
