TENUTA DI CORSIGNANO
This farm is situated near Siena (9kms), in the Chianti hills, and offers an excellent view of the city of the Palio. The finely decorated apartments have been carefully restored inside the country house (Malvasia), next to the pool and in some buildings close by: San Giovese is 50 m from the pool, Canaiolo is 200 mts away. The young and friendly owner, will recommend excursions to the various Tuscan medieval towns (San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano, Volterra) and will be happy to arrange interesting Tuscan cooking courses in the former lemon-house, which has been beautifully restored in terracotta, wood and pastel colours.
Bicycle rides, relaxing afternoons on the veranda round the swimming pool (6 x 14 m. - open 15 May/Sept) near Malvasia, barbecues and a selection of wonderful wines to be tasted along with the farm's delicious products (olive oil, jams, olives) epitomise Chianti. Siena 9kms, Florence 60kms, Terme di Rapolano 30kms.
